Britannica, performing for young audiences, that's very noble. It is a big responsibility as an actor to hone young theater-goers. :) i love classics but i invest more to support local productions.

I could jump to being a tv show extra but it's toxic over there, full of fame whores and people that are just faces and no talent. Also, people watch tv when theyre bored, see you, and forgets you after a minute or two. The stage is different. People actually go to you and it's your job to bring them to your show's world for a whole two hours. I love most when my audience are high school kids - theyre the most fun to enchant - not so innocent and not so matured at the same time. The memory of watching your performance sticks with them til they grow. Theyre magnificent. :))

MightyDick >> Focus is necessary in performances. I cant just explode if I forget my line or some idiot in the audience tries to make a funny face to try to make me laugh or something. If I forget my line, that's a chance to showcase creativity and adlib. Although adlibs would make our director frown, just being able to pull off one perfectly without letting the audience notice that you did - that just meant that you and your role had become one. And that's a very good thing.

When Im in the moment I tend to forget the things around me like I press a mute botton. Then I focus all my energy to that.. But them sometimes I explode when someone distracts my focus.. DO you end up like that? or you keep your focus in the momment until the end of the show?

MightyDick>> I like being "in the moment". There are no "take two"s on the stage - and most people who sees you act will only have the chance to see the show once, so you gotta do your best. There's no photoshop or camera tricks in theatre...make up and prosthetics, maybe. But the thing about it is that the moment the audience could notice you "acting", its over. You failed. Hence being on stage is being another person altogether. You go back to yourself after the last bow. Its like being possessed. Its magic. :)

The way you say it sounds like you really love threatre.. That you leterally submit yourself when you act.. I would say that your a giver type of person. who wants to share your energy.. I like that.. Im not really a fan of Threatre art, but I do watched those and perform at school years ago.. Of all the arts why threatre? you can be a tv actress or model..

nah. there is no darkside - i see it as term used to justify conducting actions of what society considers "abnormal" behavior. what is "abnormal" varies depending on what a specific culture dictates, and therefore - is subjective. regardless of culture having the capacity to control your urges is an exercise of discipline and therefore, character...

you can call it the dark side of one's personality.. that's why we have a site like this to explore and experience our deep dark secrets.. thats why discretion and privacy is very important. so, if all of us will show, display urges in public. we can't be called as humans..
