I jump to my feet, take a deep swig from the bottle of tequila and kick the space heater back on with a bare foot…. piece of junk. I throw on my cleanest dirty shirt and fumble my way to the front door. She’s standing there thick and juicy, a lit Kool Filter King clinging to her lips accentuating a Cheshire cat grin... "You look like hell,” she says and blows a smoke ring in my face. I inhale it through the nose and retort, “Really, cuz I feel like shit.”
