The Smoky Mountain National Park has preserved countless ecosystems and landmarks
for countless generations, conserving over half a million acres in land.
The park not only adds another significant landmark to Tennessee but also brings in over
a billion dollars to reinvest into the communities of East Tennessee. The tourism and conservative attitude about nature created by the park is significant and has arguably changed the way people feel about the outdoors. The world can be seen as both resources to be exploited and beauty to be preserved.
